Birthday Cake
Month of July is always my favorite month...Summer is here and also my birthday :-). Nothing big or fancy things I did on my birthday...I celebrated by making my own Birthday Cake and dinner with my family. Well ...I have been planning making my cake since a month ago, because of busy month at work , I started making this cake decoration such as gumpastes flower and bake it 3 days before the big day... I am such a Rush hour Baker :). Thank God I made it on time. I really glad with the result.

What a great giveaway! You know, I've always wondered how those cakes (the tree with flowers, birds and decorated edging) were made. I'm amazed that it is molded icing! And your cake turned out beautifully!!... I'm now following on GFC.
ReplyDeleteFor my birthday, I like to do a family outing (we have two young boys), usually to the zoo, or the Seattle Science Center, followed by cake/ice cream at home. I usually try to make my own cakes, although they don't turn out quite as beautifully as yours are. This year, I'm going to try to incorporate Oreos into the cake and do something fancy for the decorating.
I'm going to be taking a gum paste flower making class soon at a local candy store, and I just love your hibiscus. They turned out beautifully!
That seaside baking set is really cute. I'll bet my 4 1/2 year old would love helping me bake with that! He has been really great about helping me in the kitchen recently, but he always wants to see things done (what it is going to look like) quickly. :)
Ohhh my goodness! What adorable cupcakes!! We are celebrating a little friend's birthday today and those would have been perfect for her.
